dark and moody powder room
Y’all the powder room is FINISHED!! It seriously felt like it took forever for being such a small space but I DID IT!!!
I loved how moody the space turned out! Once I decided to paint the ceiling the same color as the wall, I knew it was going to be game changer. The color is Salamander by Benjamin Moore. I opted to paint the mirror trim the same color as well to continue the vibe.
I love how the light fixture has black and gold to coordinate with other elements in the space. I opted to install it with the globes at the bottom. I tied in the gold by installing a modern gold faucet.
Can you believe the countertop?!?!!?! The Giana marble paint kit was an affordable way to achieve a high end look. I found their instructions and video tutorial extremely informational. TIP: Research the type of viewing you want to achieve prior to painting. Watch the process here.
The actual cabinet needed some love! It was chipped and definitely needed to be painted. I found a wonderful product, Velvet Finishes which was perfect for the job! I did not have to sand which was major. Sanding causes SUCH a mess!!! The finish is matte and beautiful. I added new cabinet hardware that I scored from TJ Maxx for under $6!!! Check out more of the process here!
I think I hated the floor THE MOST!!!! But paint really transformed them wonderfully. Painting the floor black was actually super easy with the rust-oleum floor paint system. I used the black base coat and the matte finish top coat.
Lastly, one of my favorite things is the toilet paper holder with a phone shelf = life made!! I have a tutorial of how I Installed it here.
