magic reindeer food
This magic reindeer food is something I have been making since I was a kid! It was one of the Christmas traditions I was most excited about passing on to my children. Growing up, I thought it was so magical!
The idea is you make this *magic* reindeer food and it helps guide Santa to your house. You sprinkle it in the front yard, and it is so fun to check to see if it is still there in the morning! (Parents don’t forget to disguise it in the yard to make it look like the reindeer have been there to eat it).
It is SUPER simple to make but I have created a few FREE pintables to make this activity a little more festive for you! Tip: Our Elf on the Shelf brought us the printouts one morning
What you will need…
+ printer & paper to print out the tag
+ a bag, paper sack, ziplock – anything will do!
+ oatmeal
+ sprinkles
+ glitter (omit if you can’t stand glitter like me lol)
+ wasabi tape
All you do is pour the ingredients into whatever style bag you are using and mix together. A clear bag is fun so you can see the contents but I was using what we had on hand. Print out the tag and attach using a fun wasabi tape. You could also staple or use regular tape! Honestly, anything goes – remember it is MAGIC! Make it up!! HAHA
They are excellent gifts especially if you attach the tag I made. Make for yourself a bag and a few extra for your friends! Hope your little enjoy making this special treat for Santa’s reindeer on Christmas Eve night!
Spread the Christmas magic by sharing and tagging me if you make it! Have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy making memories with your family.
